Call to Action #83 Exhibition Open to Public

Call to Action #83 is available for viewing weekly from Monday to Thursday 8 am to 4 pm.

Creative Collaboration Towards Reconciliation
In September 2015, sixteen Simcoe County artists were inspired to initiate a {Re}conciliation Art Project. They came together to learn from each other, share stories, gain understanding and collaborate on a linked series of artworks. The project is titled after the Report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission: “A strategy for indigenous and non-indigenous artists to undertake collaborative projects and produce works that contribute to the reconciliation process.”

Orillia All Candidate's Forum

Orillia for Democracy, in partnership with St. Paul’s EcoJustice and Social Action Committee, is hosting a public forum for Simcoe-North candidates from the five major parties participating in October’s federal election. The event, which will be open to the public, will be held in the Great Hall at St. Paul’s Centre, Orillia, on September 26, 2019 from 7:00-9:00 PM. Ron Ptasiuk of Rogers TV has been invited to moderate. Doors will open at 6 pm, first come first served.

To bring the discussion of issues and positions to a wide audience within the riding, the event is expected to be live-streamed, recorded, and replayed during the campaign period by Rogers TV, Orillia.

The several campaign offices have been notified and candidates invited. The public is welcome to attend on a first-come, first-serve basis, with doors opening at 6:15 that evening.
